Material. Low carbon, free-cutting and low alloy steels with a tensile strength up to 110,000 psi (224 BHN).

Other. Available are standard dimension (ANSI B 94.9) and extra long design (DIN).

Rekord A-VA-AZ NPT/NPTF

Chamfer. 2-3 threads.

Geometry. Interrupted thread straight flute tap.

Material. Tough, stringy alloys containing chrome or nickel. The interrupted threads reduce flank friction and allow free cutting.

Rekord D-VA NPT/NPTF

Chamfer. 2-3 threads.

Geometry. Slow spiral fluted tap.

Material. 300 series stainless steels, inconels, hastelloys, waspalloys, and renes. With its optimal edge geometry, this tap can be used for steels and tool steels with tensile strengths ranging from 101,000 to 174,000 psi (207 BHN to 30 HRs) and electrolytic copper.
